Margaret Sleeth

Maggie graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BS in Biology and a BA in Spanish. After her undergraduate, she continued at the U of M in Dr. Keli Hippen’s lab studying graft vs. host disease. There, she became interested in immunology and the interactions between different types of leukocytes. She is now pursuing a PhD in the Cellular and Molecular Pathology program at UW-Madison, and she is excited to join the Caballero-Flores lab and research immune differences that lead to differing outcomes in enteric infections.

Outside the lab: Maggie enjoys reading (anything) and cooking (almost anything). She also spends lots of time outside, and loves to hike and hang out in and around water.

Guilty pleasures: Watching Below Deck and working on craft projects that have a 50% chance of working out, at best.
