Aidan graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Arts in Microbiology. He began his research journey in Dr. Nancy Keller’s lab, where he studied lipochitooligosaccharide fungal signaling molecules and their effects on biofilm formation. After graduation, he accepted a position as a Research Specialist in the Caballero-Flores lab. He is excited to study host-pathogen interactions and the role the microbiome plays in innate and adaptive immunity.
Outside the lab: Aidan enjoys playing tennis, volleyball, and running. He is an avid reader of science-fiction and fantasy novels. He also likes to spend his free time cooking and baking.
Guilty Pleasures: Country music, instant coffee, and spending Gustavo’s money (don’t tell him that).
